It would appear Admin are making the it more democratic when appointing mods   it was very undemocratic when without any announcement the cherub and noblehead were foisted on the unsuspecting members

Looks like it's a no no for any of us lads. I am wondering why they need five more over there, are they about to have a clear out of the existing mods? Although they talk about the increased membership, the half awake know 90%+ never post from one year to the next. OK it's the same on many forums including here. I have to admit, the wanna be a mod thread is interesting. I see no one is voting for Sid, can't think why Strange no votes for Phoenix, I know she is the Anti Christ as far as low carbing goes, but she has forgotten more about diabetes than all the hopefuls put together.

That's bit rich coming from Admin that appointed moderators who are doing just that to the members of DCUK.

What a spectacle eh Andy, who will get a mods job? Are the present morticians suffering from deletion and banning fatigue? we need to be told. I can only think it's wanting some sort of power over other folks? You can help people by posting, not being a mod, the site is setup, the new mods won't have any power to make any real changes to anything, just expected to troll (excuse the pun) through whiny post reporting morons who are trying to get one over someone else, or getting sucked up to, it's basically a prefect role issuing detentions, and folks are fighting over it under a pretence of democracy, the person who gets the most votes will then be vetted and the existing corrupt assholes will chose a mod, how is that democracy? At least they were always honest about it being a dictatorship upto now, I'm relieved they beat any compassion out of me and no longer care about the place

Wingnut and Sprocket have several clients requiring top flight diabetes forum moderators. No previous experience required and knowledge of diabetes related matters is not a pre-requisite, indeed those with a sound understanding of diabetes control will not be considered. Any applicant who has ever used or heard of terms such as low carb or Paleo diets need not apply.

The ideal candidates will be obsessed with the three word game and must be a cut and paste expert. Curious that a certain other forum which must not be named in case the trolls go invade it but is rather good, has very little need for moderation.

Yes I knew him and Jenny (Blood Sugar 101) and a whole bunch of others, including several who left, back in the days of usenet. I lurk occasionally but no longer post.

Curiously there was a big fuss on alt.support.diabetes (the newsgroup) when people started using +1 too. I couldn't understand it, I first saw it used on debugging forums, where it was used to confirm a bug after it was first described - people would post +1 instead of "Me too!"

As we know their are no low carb moderators at DCUK just anti LC, and I don't think this proposal from Enclave which has been given a like by Admin will do anything to address the situation

Exactly! That approach will mean no change for the better or more balance and if anything will just add to and strengthen their existing clique!

As Admin oversaw the appointment of two of the most vociferous anti's in the history of the forum as moderators we can't really expect anything else.
