A bit of an introduction !

    Post by mo1905 on Thu Aug 14 2014, 09:16

Well, since I left the DCUK forum a little while ago for various reasons, I realised I missed being part of the diabetic community. I enjoy helping others and like the banter ! Everything I know about my condition, I learnt from a forum. I therefore think I should do my duty and give a little back. Thankfully, I was asked to participate on this exciting new forum and I will also be doing some moderating. Those of you who know me will remember that I don't like to delete/edit posts, I think 99% of the time, a forum just "flows".
Bit of a cliche but a forum is only as good as the members and I sincerely hope you take the time to sign up and become a part of something new ! It's very early days and the forum is evolving, there may be glitches and changes but only to help make things better long term. Hopefully, in a year's time, this forum will be booming, if not, at least we tried :-)
Thanks for reading and please, introduce yourself.
    Thanks, Mo

Very happy to be here to cheer on the troops  cheers

No diabetes in this family, we all drop dead of strokes and heart attacks. Trying to turn this predisposition around by doing very low carb. Seems to be working for my siblings and I.

    So, hello all!

Hi folks! Some of you may know me already from various forums but if not then "Nice to meet you guys!" Smile

I'm very happy to be here as part of what I hope will be a very informative, useful and lively forum.
I'm very pleased to be working alongside Mo1905 in helping to moderate the forum-I believe 100% in free speech and debate and personally hate to see it stifled unfairly in the form of thread locking, post deletion etc so hopefully I'll only ever have to moderate members content rarely and in extreme cases that break this forums rules-As Mo said in his introduction-A forum is only as good as it's members and if the members are too afraid to post because they're not allowed an opinion then the members disappear and the forum sadly dies.

I'm looking forward to seeing many faces here, old and new joining the forum over the coming weeks so if you're reading the forum and haven't yet signed up then don't be shy, join up and share your experiences. Smile

    All the best

    Paul

Hi Xyzzy I reckon I can last a week, BTW have you seen the size of MO ? six foot three with tusks and as wide across the shoulders as I am tall.

Chuffed to see you here, any chance of getting your highly knowledgeable son to go down market and join up ?

    Kind regards Eddie
