Have a good trip Andy. Weather so mild could be the carp are still active. With all the floods I am wondering how many fish will be stranded from flooded rivers when the water goes down, could be grim for many rivers I reckon.

Thank you to all birthday wishes!!! I didn't know there was this part of the forum! Sorry! I had a birthday cake that I ordered to a bakery and it was without sugar or white flour. It was made of almond and coconut flour and the two creams were made of coconut - vanilla and dark chocolate. There was just little sweetener stevia in it. It was good to me but not so good to my niece who is 6 years old and is addicted to sugar! However it was great! Thank you all!!!

Well I don't know how many of you have read this today ...

The UK's oldest person, Gladys Hooper, has turned 113 today (Monday 18 January) and will be celebrating in style with a hearty slice of cake and a cup of tea.

    How amazing is that!

I do have an Uncle who is 104 ... so he is catching up with Gladys   Smile

    Read more about her here

Have a great day Rod, raising a glass (later) to your good health. beer

Another good excuse to give a link to the best post ever likely to made on this forum.

The Rod's way to controlling type two diabetes, also much good information for type one diabetics. I have studied diabetes control for almost eight years, read a gazillion articles, and truly believe there is no other way than what can be found for free here. If you know a diabetic or even someone classed as pre-diabetic, do them an immense favour and send them the link below.

Happy 90th Birthday To Our Queen ...

Royal children pictured with their Gan Gan to mark Queen's 90th

"A historic photograph of the Queen surrounded by her five great-grandchildren and her two youngest grandchildren has been released to mark the monarch's 90th birthday.
Captured by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz, the sovereign - in the tradition of royal portraiture - holds her youngest great-grandchild Princess Charlotte in her arms."

More pictures and story from here

I wonder if she enjoyed a low carb breakfast, see article Graham posted here
