Thanks Pasha a must watch video I reckon and yet again we see the lack of money to be made rearing it's ugly head.
Professor Tom Seyfried talks about cancer and said clinical trials are hard to do on diet, he said talk to the people that a Keto diet has helped. The same goes for us diabetics, we know more about controlling diabetes than the medical professionals, because the medics have never been trained in treating metabolic diseases with diet. He also said the medics success in treating cancer was far from stellar.
The same goes for diabetes the medics success is a very long way from being stellar as the NHS stats prove. This is old data but there has been no improvement in recent years.
Results for England. The National Diabetes Audit 2010-2011
Percentage of registered Type 1 patients in England
HbA1c > 6.5% (48 mmol/mol) = 92.6%
HbA1c > 7.5% (58 mmol/mol) = 71.3%
HbA1c > 10.0% (86 mmol/mol) = 18.1%
Percentage of registered Type 2 patients in England
HbA1c > 6.5% (48 mmol/mol = 72.5%
HbA1c > 7.5% (58 mmol/mol) = 32.6%
HbA1c >10.0% (86 mmol/mol) = 6.8%
These results are very similar to those obtained in previous NHS audits over the past 5 - 6 years.

The numbers will never change as long as the "treatment" never changes. The only difference is that far more diabetics have been diagnosed and the drugs have become ever more expensive with ever more dangerous side effects.
